Wilderness First Aid

Wilderness First Aid teaches dads & daughters and dads & sons how to care for their fellow campers and themselves in a remote setting. Most of our trips are located in places 30 or more minutes from medical attention and our participants need to know what conditions need immediate attention versus those that may be treated in the field.

Based on the American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED class, we have tailored the class to apply directly to HATS procedures and situations.  This training is also useful for situations in the home/school/workplace. AHA certification is available for an extra $20/person. Mandatory for camp directors. Meets requirement for Wilderness Leadership Academy. Ages 8th grade and up.
